Symphony Technology Group To Take Over McAfee’s Enterprise Business For $4B


McAfee (Nasdaq: MCFE) has announced that it will sell its enterprise business to the PE firm Symphony Technology Group in an all cash transaction for $4 Billion. This acquisition would allow McAfee to focus on becoming a leader in personal security for consumers.


This transaction is set to be completed by the end of 2021, after all regulatory approvals are done. STG is expecting to build on McAfee’s strong brand and reputation in order to continue expanding market share and service the world’s leading companies.


The financial advisors to McAfee are Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. STG was advised by UBS, Jefferies, and Bank of America. Paul Hastings LLP is the legal advisor.
