Nestle Sells North American Bottled Water Brands For $4.3B To Private Equity Firms

The Swiss multinational food and drink conglomerate Nestle has announced it will divest its North American bottled water brands for $4.3 billion. On the other side of the deal are the private equity companies One Rock Capital Partners and Metropoulos & Co.

Included in the sale are brands including Pure Life, Poland Springs, Arrowhead, Deer Park, and more. Nestle did, however, specify that its Perrier, S.Pellegrino, and Acqua Panna brands were not included in the transaction. In fact, it’s these high-end products and mineral waters that Nestle intends to direct more effort towards.

In the same statement, Nestle reiterated its commitment to transition its entire water portfolio to carbon neutral by 2025. It’s part of the company’s recent initiatives to reduce both carbon emissions and plastic waste.
