Honeywell To Acquire SaaS Company Sparta Systems For $1.3B


Honeywell, a U.S. based multinational conglomerate that operates in aerospace, building technologies, performance materials and technologies, and safety and productivity solutions, has announced it will acquire Sparta Systems for $1.3B.


Sparta offers software as a service (SaaS) quality management software to over 400 customers, including 42 of the top 50 pharma companies. Sparta’s services are used in the life sciences industry, an industry which Honeywell has provided with automation and process control technologies for three decades.


Honeywell hopes to take advantage of their current positioning by combining it with their current service, Honeywell Forge. In a statement, Que Dallara, president and CEO of Honeywell Connected Enterprise said, “Our combined offerings will make it easier for customers to gain critical insights from manufacturing and quality data that can improve their manufacturing processes while ensuring product quality, patient safety, and supply chain continuity.”
