Timur Kurbanov is a fourth-year Business & Finance major at New York University Shanghai and the head of the Global M&A Outlook Report at Focus Finance. He is responsible for recruiting and managing new analysts at his branch, as well as writing and overseeing the Global Outlook report. Beyond the group, Timur is actively involved at NYU’s Finance Society and was previously part of the Tamid Fund & Consulting Group as an outreach worker. He has supplemented his studies with multiple Investment Banking Internships in China and Germany, with his most recent one at an M&A boutique in Germany. After graduation, Timur will be joining Raymond James as a Summer Analyst in their M&A Healthcare team and will continue his academic pathway by pursuing a Master’s in International Management at Imperial College Business School.
Kristofer Gvenetadze is a second year BSc in International Economics and Management at Bocconi University. His main duty is to oversee the operations at the Bocconi branch and implement the global expansion strategy. In addition to his activities at Focus Finance, he advised a Georgian investment group on a 200MW wind park project in Georgia with a portfolio value of €300M, consequently expanding his know-how in the renewable energy sector. Kristofer and his team of 4 were finalists in the National investment banking competition 2019 held in Vancouver and was a summer intern at PwC Georgia at the Assurance division.
